Dreaming Elephants
http://www.myspace.com/dreamingelephants
Dreaming Elephants play a unique blend of world music and jazz with grooves
inspired by electronic music. The music revolves around the didgeridoo, the Aboriginal Australian instrument,
and the resulting music is interesting and inspiring.
Dreaming Elephants was formed in August 2008 by Shai Vardi, with Shay Maoz on keyboards,
Noa Zulu on didgeridoo and Roy Oliel on drums.
In the short time since the band’s formation, they have already performed at the Israel
International Didgeridoo Festival and at various jazz clubs in Israel. Furthermore,
they have been recommended by Haaretz, one of Israel’s leading newspapers,
as some of the best music in Tel Aviv, and were hosted for 2 hours on one of Israel’s biggest
radio jazz programs.
Dreaming Elephants are set to record their debut album in April 2009 in Prague.
